Keanen is a web developer and designer with over ten years of professional experience designing and developing web sites and applications for companies of all sizes. His specialty is in user experience design (making a site easy to use and visually appealing) but his broad skill set ranges through the entire development process including graphic design, user interface, programming, and database design. He has worked on development projects for various companies throughout the nation in industries including software consulting, home décor, travel, marketing, and construction.

Values

Keanen believes strongly in the value of hard work, honesty and integrity. He has worked at a for-pay job since the age of eight at a business his grandmother owned. He learned responsibility from a young age and the great satisfaction you get when you know you have performed a task well.

When most young adults were working at fast food restaurants and other small jobs, Keanen was hired at the age of sixteen to design advertising and do other graphic design work for a local publishing company. While there, he was introduced to the world of the internet and web development and has remained in that field from that point on.

He believes that designing a website or program that is easy for someone to use and aesthetically pleasing requires substantial additional effort on behalf of the creator. It is that additional work that most developers do not do but ultimately determines the outcome of a program, web site, or other product.

Having worked for both successful and unsuccessful businesses, Keanen knows that each component of the company working together is important to the success of the business as a whole. Even with a great product, if proper marketing, support, operations, administration, and accounting components are not in place, the success of the company will be greatly diminished or ultimately fail.

He was taught early in his education to never stop learning. He keeps his skills sharp by reading books from industry experts and by browsing industry websites and blogs.

Personal Life

When not working, Keanen enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children. He also enjoys working in the yard, going on long walks, photography, fishing, and playing the piano. He loves the fresh mountain air, great views, and the friendly people in the small country town of Morgan, Utah where he resides.
